Blowing a 14pt 2nd half lead and needing OT to beat a bad BC team, at home, does not instill confidence in me.

I heard something was going on with Markell this game. Tony Haynes mentioned possibly sickness. He was taken out late in the 2nd half for Daniels whom Haynes mentioned was for Daniels defense and Haynes said Markell was bent over on the sidelines and would not be returning however he did come back in during OT. Hope he is ok. I will say Daniels had a hell of a game tonight. He has been our one player that can kill us on certain nights with shot selection and erratic play and then make it look like we cannot live without him on other nights. Daniels has been our Alerrik Freeman of 2019. Fortunately he has another season to tune it up and be more consistent unlike one and done Freeman. I hope so because he does hustle his butt off.

Pack wins 89-80 in OT. Nothing is easy for this team. Pack was in control of the game and lead by 14 in the 2nd half before allowing BC to go on a 20-4 run. Pack went on a 7 plus minute field goal drought against the BC 3-2 zone during that stretch.

I think most people who do not follow the ladies do not realize that we are currently down 3 starters and a main reserve, who are all out for the season. That is 4 key players and this team has only lost 3 games. Wes Moore should be the coach of the year. The game was actually competitive for quite a while until ND's depth finally took over.

The Pack suffered their third loss of the season as #5 Notre Dame thumped the #9 ranked Wolfpack 95-72. It was a home game. https://gopack.com/news/2019/2/18/womens-basketball-no-9-11-nc-state-falls-to-no-5-6-notre-dame-in-14th-annual-play4kay-game.aspx This year's schedule saw the tough part near the end and the Pack is in the thick of it now. They had previously won a huge road win over #16 Syracuse, no doubt the team's best performance of the season. So, hopes were high that NC State could pull off the home win against Notre Dame, but the Irish are ranked #5 for a reason. Ken

Well, if the issue is what was brought out, then I for one want him to dedicate himself to academics for his own needs and interests and basketball, whether with NC State or not, would be a bonus! It just annoys the crap out of me to see people throw away such rich opportunities as being on a full ride academic scholarship to a great school. Ken

Good riddance if this is true. Ok if he was a "one and done" but he did not make the "one and done" grade at Kentucky so he became a lowly "student athlete" which requires going to classes. I say lowly "student athlete" but it is not a bad thing because it gives you an opportunity to earn a degree at a very high quality institution that you would not be accepted to if it were not for your athletic ability. Look at the Power 5 programs with the exception of Louisville and a few others (why I still say Louisville does not belong in the ACC and why ECU should never get in the ACC) and the acceptance standards are generally no less than the top 10% of high school classes get in. I know personally because my son was an A student and top 10% in his HS class and got deferred at NC State before getting accepted late in the spring of his senior HS year. I would say less than 10% of ACC basketball players meet the acceptance standards of the school they play for. Not saying they are not academically eligible by NCAA standards but the NCAA represent a lot of Universities in D1, D2, D3 (Louisville and ECU included) and I would say most meet the minimum requirements to participate but not be accepted by a university that most of the Power 5 represents. Missed opportunity is the biggest shame in all this. Whether or not you get drafted and make millions you have a chance to get a degree from an institution that is way above your pay grade. NC State ranks in the top 10 as far as value for a 4 year degree. Zion Williams, Reddish, and Barrett will probably make more money in less than a year than most Duke medical school graduates do in several years. Unfortunately they may be one injury away from having that all taken away and do you really think Zion attends classes??????

First time I've seen Zion Williamson play and my impression is he's legitimately ready to start in the NBA right now, and he could start on any of the teams in that league right now. Every once in a while, a player comes along who's clearly the number one draft pick for the NBA. Williamson is that kind of player, and it's little wonder why so many teams in the association decided to trade away their best players to ensure they tanked for the season to maximize their odds of getting the number one pick. We have won 2 straight in the series including the last time in Cameron. This is probably the most talented Duke team we have faced in recent years mainly because of Zion. I believe we can compete with them if we hit our shots. Perimeter offense is the one Duke weakness as they are only at 31% from behind the ark. Duke does not scare me. Zion does. Zion is a PROBLEM in which we have no answers for. Got to hit a lot of shots.

Yeah, going 3-3 the rest of the way requires us to lose a game to either BC (play twice) or Wake or GaTech. After the Wake and VaTech debacles, we simply cant afford another WTF loss to one of those. We don't have enough quality wins to overcome that. That is, at best IMO, last 4 in, maybe playing a 1st round game. 4-2 is needed, 5-1 we're in easily. Winning at FSU would be a good win. Our OOC schedule was awful, despite the 4 P5 games. That will be held against us.

Keatts has announced this morning that Lockett has been suspended from the team. The victim has asked for charges to be dropped however she is still saying there was a physical altercation. It was in the press release that Harris was out sick. This what pisses me off about the Media. In the same release about Lockett it said Harris was out sick, yet I have seen a few local media members try to blow it up about Harris when there is nothing there and not even mention the press release prior to the game.

I kinda agree with Matt on this. I would feel a lot better with at least a 10-8 record going into the ACC tournament. I realize we look better in the new matrix than the old RPI but the math is the same. Still the same number of automatic bids and at large teams and still a human committee who although will be using the new matrix will have human input that often leans towards the little darlings of the mid majors. Anything less than 4-2 the rest of the way would mean at least 1 bad loss, possibly at BC or Lord forbid home at Wake. If that happens I would not feel comfortable unless we are at least playing on semi-final Friday or better in the ACC tournament. Bottom line...Lets just take care of business!!

100% endorse every inch of this statement! Folks, I try hard not to be part of the conspiracy mob, or better put the Twitter mob. But, the truth is that college campuses today are replete with example after example of women lodging complaints and the system rushes to condemn the man and more often than not sadly, the full afterglow of facts show that the man ended up getting railroaded. This is especially true with regard to prominent athletes. All accusations deserve and need objective and complete investigation. I just repeat what Derreck well wrote, we just need to be patient and not rush to judgment. Thanks! Ken
