    Default Why UNC is 1-5

    Why is UNC 1-5?

One of the big reasons why is lack of discipline. On the one touchdown they have (losing 19-7 right now), the receiver needlessly dove into the end zone doing a somersault. That drew an unsportsmanlike penalty flag. There have been two other such penalties flagged, as well as numerous illegal hands to the face penalties that have sustained Notre Dame drives.

If Notre Dame did not have a young quarterback who's play is poor, they would be leading this game handily.

Relative lack of talent combined with lack of mental discipline makes for a poor combination.

And mere seconds after I wrote the above, Notre Dame gets the ball back after a UNC receiver drops a would-be first down pass, and in two straight plays, they gash the UNC defense for huge chunk yards, the second a 25-yard breakaway for another Notre Dame touchdown to push it to 25-7.

How did UNC get so bad so fast?

After losing to UVa today, UNX stands at 1-6. (Corrected)

There seems to be a bit of karma at work -- well earned karma!

I don't think there's enough karma in the world to right that wrong.

There may not be enough to go past what they earn, but what they are experiencing is mighty bad!

They are getting shelled on the road at Virginia Tech 52-0 late in the third quarter.

I'm not sure there is any more backup reserve that the Hokies haven't already put in the game to play, and the Hokies are still scoring and keeping UNC on a bagel!

And UNX was playing Musical QBs, having to replace Sutton with Harris, them putting Sutton back in after Harris had enough ! I was afraid of them having the QB position figured out by the time we played them, but if they're still switching it up, they'll still have no offensive continuity by the time they come to Raleigh.

My heart bleeds for them 😩
