    Default #25 Miami

The Pack hosts #25 Miami on Sunday. This is the middle of a stretch of five games in seven where the Pack plays ranked opponents. So far, NC State is 2-1 against these teams.

The Canes come into the game having dropped two in a row (at Clemson, and home versus Duke).

The game is scheduled for a noon start and will be on the ACC Network.

    Go Pack!

I gotta say, I like our chances in this one. This is a tough stretch for the Pack, but Da U is struggling together back to their early season form and I believe we will take them at home.

The reason why the Pack is competitive in this game is Omer Yertseven. His game just keeps improving on both ends of the court.

His offensive game is among the best for any big man in college basketball, and now he is turning into a shot blocking and rebounding force on defense. Right now, he is everything he was advertised to be, realizing the potential in every area. He's going to be an NBA player next season.

We lost this game because of sloppy turnovers and critical lapses in defense allowing layups. We shot something like 70% in the 2nd half. Miami STILL outscored us in the 2nd half. We were down 4 at the break, lost by 5.

OY7 has played himself into a 1st round pick. Needs to improve defensive footwork, but they don't play much defense in the Association.

Abu was worse than awful today. I think he had more fouls than minutes played.

We need fresh full court press schemes. Miami shredded it. See: uncontested layups.

Refs made a really bad call late to give Miami a timeout when we stole the ball. That was egregiously bad. But when you shoot 70% in a half, it shouldn't even have to come to that.

Miami wins 86-81 in a game where they played very well. A lot of their made threes were very well defended, and they got season best performances from several of their players.

Abu needs to decide whether he wants to play in the ACC or the Y Rec League. He looks completely lost on the court, an absolute liability. Should’ve given Kirk his minutes - at least Kirk showed positive effort !
